KACE works to promote a positive image of the Administrator and Operator profession while demonstrating your commitment to provide the highest quality care for your residents. KACE advocates on your behalf each month by communicating industry challenges while sharing the positive ways your adult care home is advancing elder care in Kansas. KACE is regularly advocating on your behalf while attending the following meetings.

Bob Bethell KanCare Oversight & Kansas Legislature Committee Hearings

KACE provides testimony to various legislative committees and to the Bob Bethell KanCare oversight committee throughout the calendar year. KACE advocates and communicates the challenges adult care home providers are having with the KanCare system, fair and adequate funding of the Kansas Medicaid Nursing Home Reimbursement program, workforce development issues, and on overburdensome regulatory practices.

KDADS Stakeholder Meetings

KACE meets with the Secretary of KDADS, and with KDADS leadership staff regularly to discuss survey related issues, workforce shortage issues, reimbursement issues, PEAK, and other current topics.

KDADS/KDHE Monthly and Quarterly Meetings With Associations and Advocacy Groups

KACE meets with KDADS and KDHE leadership monthly to discuss on-going issues regarding elder care in Kansas.

Fire Marshal Stakeholder Meetings

KACE meets with The Office of the State Fire Marshal regularly to discuss new regulations and current topics in fire safety for long-term care facilities and assisted living facilities.
