The Director of Nursing - Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the overall operation of the Health Services and Assisted Living department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the Community and as may be directed by the Executive Director of Health Services Administrator and the Medical Director, to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained. Advances the value that the resident comes first. The employee values the Community as the resident's home and works to create attributes of home and models person centered care.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING:
- Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved RN program.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing desired.
- Must possess a current active license to practice as a RN in this state.
- Previous experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care community or other related health care facility.
- Previous geriatric nursing experience desired.

We are seeking an experienced RN Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department and help shape the quality of care provided to our residents. This is an opportunity for a strong clinical leader to influence outcomes, mentor a dedicated team, and play a key role in a resident-centered long-term care community.
We are currently seeking a RN Director of Nursing (DON) for our communities in these locations:
- Bonner Springs, KS
- Wichita, KS
- Clearwater, KS
As Director of Nursing, you will provide hands-on leadership, ensuring excellence in clinical care, regulatory compliance, and staff development. You will collaborate closely with the Regional team to foster a positive workplace culture and continuously improve care delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support nursing staff to deliver excellent care
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and local regulations
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and departmental operations
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Current Kansas RN license or Nurse Compact License
- Knowledge of long-term care regulations
- Experience with staffing, scheduling, and budgeting
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
