Learning Objectives:

The Joint Training Seminar for Kansas adult care home providers and KSFMO healthcare staff was created as the result of the cooperative efforts of the long-term care associations and the Office of the State Fire Marshal. 

At the conclusion of the training, participants should have a better understanding and/or more information on:

• Safety Alert: Antifreeze in Sprinkler Systems
• Fire Extinguishers: Cartridge Units, Wheel Units, CO2, Dry Chemical, Clean Agent
• Ansul Hood Suppression Systems

• Update on the Top Ten Code Citations
• FOSS
• Generators: Specific to Nursing Facilities and Maintenance of systems, Update on Fire Codes, Federal & State Regs  

Continuing Education Credit:

Administrators – This course is approved for seven continuing education clock hours for adult care home administrators in the core area of administrative.

Nurses – CNE’s will be available for nurses.

Attendance Certificates will be available for all other attendees.
