Coronavirus COVID-19 CDC Resources 

The CDC is providing updates and resources regarding action being taken to address the spread of the Coronavirus. Below are links to those resources and updates that are being provided daily. Please confirm that you are operating under the most recent guidance from all regulatory and healthcare organizations that govern and support the long-term care industry. CDC Releases Guidance on Rapid Antigen Testing 

(Dated August 16, 2020)

Nursing homes across the nation are beginning to receive testing kits that were originally announced back in July. Kits began arriving to the first wave of nursing homes a couple of weeks ago, with second wave distributions arriving this past week. CMS has categorized the expected single-shipment deliveries by facility size:

• Small facilities: 150 tests, 1 instrument
• Small-to-medium facilities: 240-250 tests,* 1 instrument  
• Medium facilities: 325-330 tests,* 1 instrument  
• Large facilities: 600 tests, 1 instrument  

• Major outlier facilities: 900+ tests, 2 instruments
